WAGGING WILLOW COUNTRY CLUB T&C’S
Wagging Willow Country Club also referred as “Wagging Willow” or “ WWCC”
Wagging Willow will provide the best possible care for the health and well being of your pet(s) while in our care. However, you acknowledge that animals are naturally unpredictable and may cause harm or damage to themselves, other pets, people, or property. This could include, but is not limited to, injury, illness, transmission of disease, disability, or death. By leaving your pet(s) with us, you accept full responsibility and agree to indemnify Wagging Willow against any claim, loss, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising while your pet(s) are in our care.
Wagging Willow also reserves the right, at our sole discretion, to require your listed emergency contact to collect your pet at any time if necessary. This may occur if your pet shows aggression, persistent barking, severe separation anxiety, or causes significant stress to other animals.
You accept responsibility for providing full and accurate disclosure regarding your pet, including any preexisting health conditions, dietary needs, behavioral issues, aggression, allergies, injuries, reproductive status, or any other relevant history. This also applies to pets recovering from surgery.
You agree to be solely responsible for any harm or damage caused by your pet while staying at Wagging Willow and release Wagging Willow from any liability arising from your pet’s stay. Any required veterinary or medical care—including all related costs resulting from an incident involving your pet—remains the sole responsibility of you, the owner.
1. Pet Health
In line with the full disclosure requirements outlined above, you agree to provide any special dietary food and/or medication necessary to support your pet’s health needs. Wagging Willow reserves the right to decline care for any pet with a condition that, in our judgment, may prevent us from caring for them safely or effectively.
If your pet becomes unwell or contracts a disease while in our care, Wagging Willow may seek veterinary attention at our discretion. All veterinary costs are the responsibility of the owner and must be settled at the time of collection. We will make every effort to contact you or your nominated emergency contact promptly to explain the situation in full.
Medication: If your pet requires medication during their stay with us, it must be supplied in a clearly marked container and clear written instructions for administration
Treats:
We use treats in our facility, and it is up to the owner to mention if they don't want treats given to their dogs. It is the owner's responsibility to inform us of any allergies or health issues or medication needed to be given.
2.Exercise on Farm
We exercise dogs in our fully fenced paddocks. While we take precautions, you accept the risks associated with outdoor exercise.
3. Escape Protocol
In the event of an escape, even though we have fully fenced paddocks, we will immediately initiate a search and notify the owner. You acknowledge the risk of escape and agree not to hold Wagging Willow liable. Owners are expected to work on their dog's recall, and we assume the dog has basic recall abilities.

4.Dog Fights
We conduct trial sessions to ensure we do not accept aggressive dogs. In the event of a dog fight, we will separate the dogs and provide necessary first aid. Owners will be contacted immediately, and any veterinary costs will be the owner's responsibility. We have liability insurance, but it will only be used if the injury or incident is due to our negligence.
5.Harmful Ingestion
If a dog ingests a harmful item, we will seek immediate veterinary attention. You agree to bear all associated costs.
6.Elderly Pets
If your pet is elderly and has preexisting health concerns, you acknowledge the risks involved in boarding, including the possibility that your pet may pass away due to age-related issues, underlying conditions, or unforeseen medical complications during their stay. While Wagging Willow will take all reasonable care, you accept that older or unwell pets face greater risks and agree not to hold Wagging Willow liable in the event of your pet’s passing under such circumstances.

7.Brachycephalic Breeds
If you wish to enroll a brachycephalic (flat-faced) breed, you acknowledge the particular risks associated with these dogs, including respiratory difficulties, heat sensitivity, and challenges regulating body temperature. You agree to disclose any relevant health concerns, including known breathing issues, and understand that Wagging Willow will take reasonable steps to reduce risks, such as limiting exercise and providing a cool environment. However, you accept that despite these precautions, health complications may still occur. You therefore release Wagging Willow from liability for any illness, injury, or death related to these breed-specific risks, except in cases of gross negligence.
8.Non-Desexed (Entire) Pets
Wagging Willow expects all dogs to be desexed, while recognizing veterinary recommendations to wait until maturity in some cases. Entire male and female dogs may be accepted at our discretion, based on their health, behaviour, and suitability in a group-care environment. A daily surcharge will apply for all entire dogs aged 10 months and older while boarding.
Wagging Willow will not accept or accommodate bitches in season. If we agree to board an entire female, you must disclose the date of her last season. However, you acknowledge that Wagging Willow cannot be held liable for accidental mating if your dog is in a “silent season.”
9.Pet Behavior
You agree to inform Wagging Willow of any changes in your pet’s behavior, including problems or undesirable habits, prior to boarding. Wagging Willow reserves the right to refuse service or cancel a booking immediately if we determine that a pet’s behavior poses a risk to our staff, other animals, or to the pet itself.
If a dog becomes aggressive or otherwise “socially challenged” to the extent that there is risk of harm to themselves, another animal, or a person, they will be safely contained until the risk is resolved or alternative arrangements can be made with the owner. A daily surcharge will apply for pets that cannot be safely socialized with others, regardless of age, size, or sexual state.
10.Photography, Social Media & Intellectual Property
You agree that photographs of your pet(s) and our facilities may be taken by Wagging Willow staff. Wagging Willow reserves the right to use these images for business purposes, including but not limited to social media, advertising, and promotional material.
All services, along with their original content, features, and functionality, remain the exclusive property of Wagging Willow.

11.Canine Cough & Other Illnesses
You acknowledge and accept that during your dog’s stay at Wagging Willow there is a risk of contracting Canine (Kennel) Cough or other airborne/contagious diseases outside of our control. These illnesses can occur even in the most hygienic and well-ventilated facilities.
In Auckland and surrounding areas, cases of Canine Cough periodically increase. The infection can be contracted from many places, including dog parks, groomers, shows, veterinary clinics, or even neighboring dogs. While vaccination is recommended, it does not protect against every strain—similar to how the human flu vaccine cannot cover every variation.
Wagging Willow accepts no liability should your dog contract Canine Cough or any other contagious illness during their stay.

12.Adventure Walks / Transportation
You acknowledge that if Wagging Willow transports your pet for any reason, every possible care will be taken; however, Wagging Willow accepts no liability for any loss, harm, or injury that may occur.
When participating in adventure walks or other activities off our property, we will make every effort to ensure your dog’s safety and well-being. You understand and accept that open environments carry inherent risks, and you agree not to hold Wagging Willow liable for any resulting loss, harm, or injury. You are responsible for advising whether your dog may be exercised off-lead or must remain on a long line.

13.Dog Daycare
Daycare is available Monday to Friday but not on weekends or public holidays. By enrolling your dog in daycare at Wagging Willow, you confirm that your dog is up to date with vaccinations or able to provide a valid titre test, in good health, and demonstrates behaviour suitable for safe group play. You accept responsibility for providing any required food, medication, and emergency contact information.
Wagging Willow staff will supervise your dog during play; however, we cannot guarantee against the possibility of illness or injury. You release Wagging Willow from liability for any accident, injury, or health issue, except in cases of gross negligence. In the event of an emergency, veterinary care will be sought, and all associated costs will be the responsibility of the owner.
